About me

Jack Thomas Reynolds, a man shaped by resilience and determination, embarked on an opportunistic journey that led him to become a self-employed small building contractor by the age of twenty-one. Born in Coverdale (a small coal mining town) in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, Jack’s early experiences in the coal mining town of Coverdale laid the foundation for a life marked by common sense, a mechanical inclination, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Writing for Change

In addition to his career in the construction business, Jack discovered a passion for writing. Through his autobiography, ‘Up through the Cracks,’ and six novels, he shares his experiences to inspire positive change. Jack’s literary journey is fueled by a commitment to assisting individuals, especially children, from succumbing to the challenges of poverty, drugs, alcohol, and physical abuse. As a founding board member of ‘The Midnight Writers,’ a Pittsburgh writers group, he collaborates with like-minded individuals to create a space where creativity flourishes and ideas contribute to a better future.
